Eating Disorders & Body Image Therapy • Washington State
Reclaiming peace with food and your body from the inside out
Warm, body-centered clinical therapy for Washington State residents who are tired of fighting food, weight, and mirrors, and are ready to finally feel at home in their own skin.
Why changing your thoughts doesn’t soothe body anxiety
If you’ve been struggling with food, your weight, or the reflection in the mirror, you’ve probably tried everything to fix it. Maybe you’ve read self-help books, tried endless diets, or sat in talk therapy analyzing your habits. But even when you understand your patterns logically, that tight, overwhelming feeling of panic in your chest or stomach doesn’t go away.
That is because struggles with binging, restricting, purging, or constant mirror checking are not willpower problems. They are your body’s natural way of trying to protect you. When we go through chronic stress, relationship pain, or trauma, our physical body learns to protect itself by “bracing.” This bracing lives in your muscles, your stomach, and your nervous system.
We do things differently here. Instead of treating your body like an enemy that you need to strictly control or fix with logical thoughts, we use body-centered therapy (also called somatic therapy). It simply means we help you learn to listen to, warm up to, and safely release the physical tension and anxiety held inside your body so you can finally feel safe and settled.

Calming the physical tension held in your stomach
When you’ve spent years fighting food or feeling uncomfortable in your own skin, your digestive system gets caught in the crossfire. You might deal with constant bloating, abdominal tightness, a nervous stomach, or painful digestive shutdowns.
By bringing the body directly into therapy, we don’t just talk about food, we work to physically calm your stomach’s nervous system. We help you learn gentle, body-based tools to quiet the inner panic, release abdominal clenching, and restore a peaceful sense of physical digestion.
We look at your wellness as a whole. Through simple lifestyle rhythms, supportive adjustments, and somatic awareness, we help you slowly rebuild your physical strength and confidence at a pace that feels completely safe for you.
Nourishing your body and nervous system via Ayurvedic Consultations
In addition to my licensed clinical mental health offerings, I provide Ayurvedic Consultations as a completely separate, non-clinical service. This gentle framework is entirely distinct from psychotherapy and focuses on supporting your lifestyle rhythms, habits, and relationship to nourishment from a holistic, ancient lens.
Guided by the wisdom of Ayurveda, these educational consultations help you map out personalized daily wellness routines tailored specifically to your individual needs and unique constitution (doshas). We actively weave in deep somatic awareness tools and peaceful, intuitive eating practices to help you re-learn how to safely interpret your internal hunger signals, move past rigid structures, and melt away protective somatic bracing.
Whether you struggle with a tight nervous stomach, seasonal changes, or chronic digestive blockages, this work provides a gentle space to establish ease in your physical body without any clinical pressure or behavioral rules.
Is this right for me?
Ayurvedic sessions focus purely on education, lifestyle practices, and natural somatic integration. They do not treat mental health diagnoses or clinical trauma. Many clients find them to be a beautifully supportive, grounding complement to their ongoing clinical therapeutic journey.
These consultations are client-centered, tailored to your exact pacing, and available to individuals worldwide.

Hi, I’m Isabella Koepf
I am a holistic trauma therapist, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and somatic yoga therapist with deep specialized clinical training in eating disorder recovery and body-based rehabilitation.
Many of the individuals I support feel completely divided. Their analytical mind knows they are worthy, yet their body continues to react to nourishment, scales, and mirrors with absolute fight-or-flight panic. We work gently, avoiding toxic behavioral pressure, to co-create real, sensory safety.
By combining clinical counseling with somatic therapy, yoga therapy, and intuitive eating, we slowly complete unresolved stress cycles and help you comfortably dwell inside your body once again.
