Insurance & Paying for Therapy
Insurance
I ONLY TAKE IN INSURANCE FOR CLIENTS LOCATED IN WASHINGTON STATE.
I am an in network provider for:
- Premera
- LifeWise
- Blue Cross Blue Shield* (not all plans qualify, please reach out to confirm your specific plan’s coverage – currently out of network with Regence)
If you have the above insurance, I’d be happy to speak with you about working together & verify your benefits. Please reach out by clicking the button below. Please send us a photo of the front and back of your card and your birth date to verify your benefits.
Note: Insurance cannot be used for yoga therapy or Ayurveda consultations.
Superbills/Out-of-Network
For out-of-network clients located in Washington state, I am able to provide “Superbills” for all counseling services. These are receipts which you can submit to your insurance as claims for potential reimbursement.
Please contact your insurance by calling the number on the back of your card. Here are some helpful questions to ask them:
Do I have “out of network benefits”?
If yes: “What is my deductible?”
What part of that deductible have I met so far (if at all)?
What is my copay on out of network “behavioral health” visits?
How do I submit “Superbills” for reimbursement?
This process takes time and effort and sometimes you have to follow up if the insurance company denies the claim for some reason. You also have the option of using a third party service to do this work for you. Mentaya is a service that charges a few dollars to do this labor for you!
Note: Superbills cannot be provided for yoga therapy or Ayurveda consultations.
HSA & FSA Cards
You will be asked to place a debit or credit card on file for your appointments. You may use your Health Savings Account (HSA) card or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) card to pay for therapy (with pre-tax income) by placing the card number on file. These cards are not supposed to be used to pay late cancellation or no-show charges.
Note: HSA and FSA cards CAN also be used for yoga therapy or Ayurveda consultations.
Payment Methods
I take most debit & credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service unless special arrangements have been made. Your card will automatically be charged the evening of your appointment.
Cancellations
You must cancel your appointment 48 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. You will be charged the full amount of the session for missed appointments or failing to cancel 48 hours prior to your appointment.
“No shows” will be charged the full session fee. Missed session fees cannot be reimbursed by insurance.
Good Faith Estimate
The No Surprises act which is a part of the consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect clients from receiving unexpected medical bills.
The “Good Faith Estimate” is to give an idea of what you’ll be charged with, prior to begin services.
Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to tell you exactly how long you will be seeing me for therapy, but you may create an estimate by using this calculation formula: ($ rate of session x 1x/week) x 50 weeks in the year (minus two weeks holiday) = the approximate total you will end up spending on therapy per year.

Sliding Scale
How do I determine where I fit on your sliding scale? Use “the Green Bottle” to determine if therapy with us is within your budget.
Tier 3: No Sliding Scale
Tier 2: $150 per session
Tier 1: $120 per session

What's the Next Step?
Step 1: Reach Out
Get in touch with me via phone, email, text, or my website. I will get back to you within 48 hours (likely sooner).
Step 2: Schedule a Consultation Call
We will start with a 15-minute consultation call to make sure it feels like a good fit for both of us, go over any questions you may have, and finalize any logistical details.
Step 3: Book an Intake Session
Intake assessment sessions are different from weekly therapy. We have to go over the Informed Consent and practice policies and then, I will ask you a long list of questions on a variety of topics to gather your health history. We will also go over your goals in therapy in make a treatment plan together. Once we cover these foundational bases, we can just start talking naturally and have fun!
Step 4: Get a Recurring Timeslot
I prefer to only work with people weekly. In some cases, we may decide to meet every-other week or once a month, but I find that the progress we make is drastically reduced.
Having your appointment at the same time each week gives us routine or ritual, and predictability, which are great for building the foundation of a new working relationship and it boosts executive functioning.
The day and time of your therapy slot can be changed if your schedule changes or you have a one-off event. I require 48-hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
